remember the verb Estar and Ser, both are the verb To Be. With a slight difference. Estar is for location (where soemthing or someone is), mood and feelings. Normally is for something that can be changed easily and fast. Also it is used to say what you are doing right now. For example, estoy comiendo (i am eating) in present continuous tense.
The verb Ser, is for your name, nationality, personality traits, etc.. it is used for things that cant be change, or at least not easily or fast. Soy alto, i am tall. Soy coreano, I am korean. Soy su hermana, i am her sister.
