Please finish your outline for your personal narrative. In this chapter, you will be writing a story in which you tell the reader about an event that happened in your life.
Choose one of the following writing assignments to focus the purpose of your narrative.
• Write a story that entertains the reader. This type of story normally informs the reader about an event that is funny or unique. Entertaining stories are an effective way to communicate a truthful idea.
• Write a story that teaches the reader an important life lesson (e.g., hard work brings its own rewards, cheaters never prosper, etc.).
• Write a story promoting a particular product or service by sharing your experi ence (e.g., athletic shoes, ATVs, etc.).
• Write a story to demonstrate that a problem is real or that a specific solution to a certain problem is the correct one (e.g., cyberbully ing is dangerous, wearing a seat belt is the best way to prevent injuries in an accident, etc.).
